Hydrophilic Swell Bar

A hydrophilic swell bar is a type of waterstop that is made of a material that swells when it comes into contact with water. This swelling action creates a seal that prevents water from passing through.

Hydrophilic swell bars are typically made of a rubber or polymer compound that contains a superabsorbent material. Superabsorbent materials are able to absorb many times their own weight in water.
